What is your name and give us a brief about your business?

Inspiration

> I am Ed Balde,  Founder and CEO of UK and US based LanguageTech company Yazyk.

We have been in business since 2015. At Yazyk, we translate, proofread, localize content for offline purpose but also for websites, for organic search, for paid search and for social media.

Why did you start this business?

> There was a growing need to help businesses (large and small) break the language barrier whilst facilitating cross-country communications in the corporate world. This industry has almost doubled in size since we started and it’s not bound to stop as international business and globalization is still very much here despite the global economic crisis we are in.

What is your background?

> I am a French Londoner originally from Paris who settled down in the UK a decade ago. London is where I started my company. I have a sales background and I attended the Leonardo da Vinci University in Paris then I studied e-business at the University of Montreal (HEC).

Before starting my entrepreneurial journey back in 2011 – first as a part-time freelancer – I was a sales manager working for other tech companies in Paris and London.  I have been using both French and English on a daily basis during my sales career which then proved very useful as currently half of Yazyk customers are based in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Canada.

What inspires you?

> I love bringing fresh ideas that will contribute to creating a new segment in the market – and fulfill a need. Opening businesses to the world (which by the way is our catchphrase) is to me a rather fascinating expression in itself. No more borders when it comes to languages in the corporate world. Contributing to reaching this goal does inspire me!

What motivates you when business gets challenging?

> Knowing that whatever happens there is always a possibility to make a way throughout, knowing that by pushing myself to the limits I will find light at the end of the tunnel, a reward, a large contract, great feedback from our customers. That.. makes me proud and keeps me motivated even when facing difficulty.

How do you keep going?

> Innovating constantly, looking for new ways to address the needs of the audience is the key. Managing a company especially in a competitive industry like language services is like a constant fight. It never gets dull. We keep on re-inventing ourselves and that’s how we keep going towards our goals.

What challenges have you faced?

> Competition is always a barrier which we manage pretty well here at Yazyk I must say through competitive pricing and great service all the way. COVID is also a challenge for many businesses these days although it had a somewhat slight impact on our business and fortunately we went through it fine being 100% online based, plus businesses still need to work globally even when there is a pandemic.

Tell us about your brand

> Alongside our multilingual translation, SEO, Pay Per Click and Social Media Optimization offering, we are launching a new software to manage all these services in one place – which we plan to roll out in early 2021.

This revolutionary SaaS language platform will be optimized for both desktop and mobile use,  in the corporate world.

It will use a combination of human interaction together with Artificial Intelligence. The Yazyk team has added a special ingredient that will make us unique in this particular marketplace. Like they say, mom’s the word 🙂  I personally cannot wait for its release as the market is currently very much demanding it!

The pursuit of infinite success

Creativity produces both pain and promise. From the paradise of words to the elite sketch of an artistes pen, we escape beyond distraction. Beyond the boughs of our blessed reality, to a kingdom where giants sleep, and castles refuse to be concocted in air How many of us spend year in and year out, terrified of rejection, that stamp of disapproval. Yes you are, yet no your not who you profess to be. Therefore we procrastinate, tip toeing towards our greatness, eager to explore our hungry selves. As a creative remember there are always three perspectives, you, the publisher, and the audience. If it’s a product, well, whatever you produce becomes product. The internet is your marketplace, it is your playground, to pitch, market and make a profit. Every creative needs a handbook,  a marketing guide that assists you with the financial conversion of creative product to financial outcome. Where is the gap in the market? Are you using Google keywords or the search engine optimisation tool to find what your audience is looking for, have you created a mind map with much structure to organise other elements of your journey, such as networking. Some of us are beyond our dreams, once you find a formula, stick to it, it may be repetitive, tedious, exhausting, yet you are striving towards a positive outcome. Keep going!

Remember you are not just dumping busy words on the net, you want emotive content that provokes reaction, makes audiences want to take action and come back for more.
 What is your audience looking for? What do they want to know about? The hottest topics consistently are passive income,accessing luxury lifestyles, the life of a travel blogger, how to build a business online from scratch and self development. How to monetise your creative talents, healthy lifestyles, or adding value through building a brand , or monetising a hobby. Checkout Reddit, Quora, Google trends, Twitter, and other social media sites to see what’s buzzing online. Add affiliation links to your site, and Google Adsense. The more views you get the more income. 
Design a structure for an online channel videos have more engagement than story, or written content. Create a series that will turn you into a wealth Ninja, and continue to investigate the questions your audiences are asking online. What they seek, you will have the answer too, you can also sell courses on your blog or website, approach this challenge with a fun and enthusiastic business mindset.
 Have a plan for your blog, include illustrations and info graphics for marketing campaigns to make your content interesting, use videos, you can use slideshows instead of your own face if you want anonymity. Use hashtags and be relentless with tagging via Social media, get your audience to subscribe through your email marketing list and build a newsletter. The more you post, the more engagement you’ll get, create a series.

 Post 5/6 times a day and tag in friends, add key resources that will be useful for your audience. Brand your series of posts with a hook or a headline that attracts audiences. Get as many people to subscribe to your blog as possible, build a database of connections, a newsletter series and tag relentlessly as you share your posts, become a fan of research, be a contributor to other blogs and websites. Believe in your content, make your style fluent, clear and engaging , how will this content be insightful,add knowledge, inform,become a resource, give them access to capital, connections, help them devise a clearer plan or give them a strategy, how can they minimise time and maximise profit, how can you contribute more effetively to helping them develop a better lifestyle, build confidence in the area their pursuing, ( each sentence is a sale) use numbers, statistics, examples, analytics) (key niche blogging and online business) fail your way to success, read up about personal finance, business plans, creative enterprise, how to monetise a niche, different platforms on social media you can use to engage your audience, learn negotiation, language and terminology for branding and marketing, learn sales, practice pitching your blog In the mirror summarising and adding it to directories.
 Maybe you can start a community engagement platform for creatives in your community centre and people spread the word through word of mouth. 
Create new consistent habbits, learn marketing and define select goals have a discipline and a structure. Most of all just go for it!

I’ve always had a thirst for building networks, relational communications, and social enterprise, assisting others and websites. So what do you do when you have these skills, you merge them. Let me give you an example. Maybe your a connector like myself, you’ve built quite a network on social media, you may not have the finance yet but you do have an elite network. What do you do? What are the trending topics in your niche, what is your unique angle? How can you spin it to engage and engrosse your audience. Encourage your audience to share and like, Create a sense of community by mentioning regular members who visit your site and thank them for their loyalty, or mention some of the good work their doing.
